This 52 acre property is located along Sweetbriar Road in Lewes, DE and contiguous to the Lewes to Georgetown Bike Trail.  The property is located in a highly desirable area and was a prime target for development.  In 2022, Sussex County Council acquired the 52 acre property with the Trust holding the conservation easement.  The Trust will undertake ecological restoration and develop public access to the property for hiking and biking and will manage the Preserve.   The property will feature an 11-acre forest, meadows, a pond, wetlands, trails, a gathering space, a parking lot and restrooms when completed, according to the plan.
